WRI partnered with Rippleworks to establish consistent performance management and L&G tools and processes to support growth across the Restoration Global and Africa team.

The World Resources Institute recently acquired substantial funding to design and execute one of the biggest ecological restoration projects in the world named the Restoration Local Project. Restoration’s efforts will focus on three priority landscapes that span five different countries (Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Ghana, Kenya, and Rwanda). The program is designed to restore 2.7M hectares of degraded land and grow 1.3B trees to sequester 84M metric tons of CO2e by 2040. Restoration is planning to work in four areas over the course of their funding plan to hit their impact goals

One of WRI Restore’s top priorities going into this project was maximizing team productivity and performance as the project grows from 120 to 140 employees in 2024.

I loved supporting a project and people who are actively working to make this world better for all.
