Jasberry partnered with Rippleworks to create a process to select and partner with third-party manufacturers.
Thai farmers are among the poorest farmers in the world, earning only $0.40/day as a result of poor yield, rising costs, and inefficient agricultural systems. This population—around 17M in Thailand alone—is skewing older as the younger generation moves to cities to find ways to earn income leaving aging farmers behind. Jasberry works directly with farmers for over 2-3 years to train them and help them improve their incomes by pivoting them to grow high-value, organic crops (superfood rice).
One of Jasberry’s top priorities going into this project was creating a selection process for select third-party manufacturers, which will support their desired innovative pipeline and volume growth
Jasberry partnered with Amit Shah, a quality and product development expert with 17+ years of experience in food and durable consumer goods. Together, they:
• Learned a systematic approach, best practices and international standards for identifying, evaluating, and managing relationships with third-party manufacturers.
• Designed a new product and developed detailed product specifications for production.
• Created key internal documents to improve manufacturing processes.
